CLASS OPTIONS

Ages 7 and up

BEGINNING BALLET

Ages 7+

60 Min
Introductory ballet technique will be taught in addition to basic skills and terminology. Class focus is to build strong foundation before being placed in a Level 1-4 class.

BALLET LEVELS 1-4

Beg. Ballet Prerequisite or Teacher Approval

60-90 Min
Dancers will be trained in classical ballet technique with concentration on proper turnout, alignment, vocabulary, use of body, head, and port de bras.

BEGINNING JAZZ

Ages 7+

60 Min
Introductory jazz technique will be taught in addition to basic dance skills and jazz terminology. Class focus is to build strong dance foundation and flexibility before being placed in a level 1-4 class.

JAZZ LEVELS 1-4

Beg. Jazz Prerequisite or Teacher Approval

60 Min
Dancers will be taught proper dance technique with emphasis on stylization, use of isolations, rhythm and performance quality.

BEGINNING TAP

Ages 7+

45 Min
Dancers will be taught proper technique with an emphasis on stylization, use of isolations, rhythm and performance quality.

TAP LEVELS 1-4

Beg. Tap Prerequisite or Teacher Approval

60 Min
Tap class will focus on development of rhythm, style, tempo, and the dynamics and volums of sounds, A variety of styles will feature Broadway, Street and Rhythm tap.

BEGINNING ACRO

Ages 7+

60 Min
Young dancers will learn basic tumbling and the progressions of beginning acro skills. Current  enrollment in ballet and/or jazz strongly recommended. 

ACRO LEVELS 1/2

Ages 9+

60 Min

Pre-Requisite: Completion of beginning acro is required. Must be at least 9 years of age or older and have instructor permission to enroll. Dancers will build core and overall muscle strength, flexibility and agility required to perform acro type movements with a dance emphasis. Strong dance background and current  enrollment in ballet and/or jazz strongly recommended. 

ACRO LEVELS 3/4

Prerequisite Acro 1/2 or Teacher Approval

60 Min
Dancers will build core and overall muscle strength, flexibility and agility required to perform acro type movements with a dance emphasis.

BEGINNING HIP HOP

7 & up

45 Min
All classes will include high energy warm-ups and strengthening exercises geared to condition dancers for all styles and elements of hip hop dance including popping, locking, breaking and street style.

HIP HOP LEVELS 1-4

Intro/Beginning Hip Hop Prerequisite or Teacher Approval (ages 8 and up)

60 Min
All classes will include high energy warm-ups and strengthening exercises geared to condition dancers for all styles and elements of hip hop dance including popping, locking, breaking and street style.

PRE-POINTE 1/1.5

Current Enrollment in Ballet 1 or higher is required and teacher approval

45 Min
Dancers will be trained in the proper technique for pointe work. Class focus will be on ankle strength and flexibility as well as turnout and proper alignment. Dancers will wear ballet shoes until the instructor permits the dancer to receive pointe shoes.

POINTE LEVELS 1-4

Current Enrollment in Ballet 2 or higher is required and teacher approval

45-60 Min
Dancers will be trained in the proper technique for pointe work. Class focus will be on ankle strength and flexibility as well as turnout and proper alignment. Dancers will wear ballet shoes until the instructor permits the dancer to receive pointe shoes.

BEGINNING LYRICAL

Current Enrollment in Beginning Ballet or Higher

60 Min
This class will combine ballet technique with modern free-flowing movement. Dancers will have the opportunity to broaden their dance ability with this expressive style.

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY LEVELS 1-4

Current Enrollment in Ballet 1 or Higher and Teacher Approval

60 Min
These classes will combine ballet technique with modern free-flowing movement. Dancers will have the opportunity to broaden their dance ability with this expressive style.

BALLET/CONDITIONING

Must Be Enrolled in a Level 1-4 Ballet Class in combination with this class.

This class is designed to build strength, correct alignment, enhance turnout and increase flexibility. This class is designed to target important muscles groups and develop consistent technical habits through Progressive Ballet Technique and other various training methods.
