Jorja Pomponio began her ballet training at the age of five at Planko Classical Ballet Academy in Novi, Michigan where she learned the Vagonova method. In 2014, she began dancing at Northville Ballet Theatre in Northville, Michigan, where she studied the Cecchetti method, in addition to pointe, contemporary, jazz, and tap. She has attended summer intensives at Grand Rapids Ballet, Eisenhower Dance, and Ballet 5:8. Jorja has performed lead roles in many classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Don Quixote, and Les Slyphides. She is currently dancing at Ballet 5:8 as a Second Company member and is studying Business Administration at Washtenaw Community College online. Jorja is excited to share her love of ballet with the students at AKA dance!
